On the morning of October 15, 2020, Ninh Thuan Museum and Dak Lak Museum jointly organized the Exhibition Opening Ceremony with the theme "Characteristics of Cham culture and Central Highlands gongs". Attending the opening ceremony were Deputy Chief of Office of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee Hoang Thi Mai Nhung, Deputy Director of Ninh Thuan Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Van Cong Hoa, Deputy Director of Ninh Thuan Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hoa, Deputy Director of Department of Information and Communication Nguyen Luong, Director of Dak Lak Museum Dinh Mot, Collector Nguyen Ngoc An, and comrades, leaders of some departments, and more than 200 local students.
The theme was to welcome Kate Festival in 2020 and celebrateVietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23, 2020). At the same time, introducing to people, domestic and foreign tourists when coming to Ninh Thuan province to Central Highlands gongs, cultural values and unique features that the space of the Central Highlands gong culture was recognized as "Masterpieces of the Oral and the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity" by UNESCO (2005) and inscribed in the list of "Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity" (2008), that these were the pride of the whole country in general and the Central Highlands in particular.
The exhibition consisted of 73 photos, 5 articles designed on 30 panels with 17 artifacts and documentary films introducing the strengths of the region – Bazan red soil, famous tourist sites, and folk musical instruments. some traditional rituals of the Ede, Mnong, Gia rai ethnic groups, etc.
In addition, to preserve and promote cultural values, contribute to supplementing and enriching the content of existing collections, Ninh Thuan Museum also receives collections from individuals, especially the collector Nguyen Ngoc An who has presented Ninh Thuan Museum with more than 500 objects, so Ninh Thuan Museum has had more and more available and various artifacts that have material and spiritual values.
